Allowing you to take your personal media anywhere you go.
Visit https://emby.media/ and go to the Downloads tab.
Pick the system you are installing on. We installed on Windows.
Run the downloaded executable.
After installation completes, visit http://localhost:8096 to complete the setup.
Choose the language for your interface.
Setup user account. You have the option of linking your server to an Emby Connect account, which will make it easier to connect to your server from other devices.
Set initial settings.
Upload any initial media.
All of the above can be changed/updated later should you choose.
After completing the setup, you can manage the server, including media and user accounts and permissions.
Add media by going to the Server Manager and navigating to the library. Click the Add Media Library. Choose your content type, then choose your media to upload. Types of media you can upload are movies, TV shows, pictures or videos and more.
To install a Plugin, go to Plugins under extras on the menu on the Dashboard. Pick a Plugin to install. Then navigate back to the Dashboard and restart the server to apply changes.
You can download the Emby app on your computer, mobile device or tablet and connect your server to access your media, including streaming it.
